Shh, Secret Menu in Prestigious Thai Restaurant

Wondee Siam in Hell's Kitchen is one of the most prestigious Thai food in Manhattan. not long ago, Won Dee Siamll was opened a few blocks away from Won Dee Siam since the original one was so busy. This restaurant has two menus, one for regular diners, and one for people who know and love authentic Thai food.

Mieng Ka Na is a common snack streets of Bangkok, which is usually wrapped in betel leaves inside. In Won Dee Siam, you can find Mieng Ka Na in their secret recipes inside , but here, they use broccoli instead of betel leaf to wrap Mieng Ka Na with floss, peanuts, dried garlic, soy sauce, lime cooked with salt and pepper. When eating with raw broccoli leaves will wrap these things, the taste is mixing with a little salty, a little spicy, a little sour, a little bit sweet.

Thai sausage salad is also a good choice. Slightly tossed medium fat fried sausage with a slice cucumber, coriander, Thai salad with sour sauce mixed, the resulting taste is naturally hot and sour taste.

Taste of Freshness: 15 East

A visit to 15 East, a top 100 restaurants in America and a newly Michelin 1 star Japanese restaurant. It is a feast of freshness from the sea. The $120 tasting menu include sushi and sashimi Omakesa, which consists with the fresh of the day selected from the sushi chief. and appetizer include pink, crystal like roe and creative desert.

I strongly recommend everyone to try their Uni (Sea Urchin) freight, with $36, you can taste 2 American Uni (from California and Maine) and two Japanese Uni (from southern and northern region). You will be amazed by how different these Uni taste in texture and favors.

By the way, try to get a sushi bar seat if you can, sitting there watching sushi chief to handle the delicate sea treasures is a feast to the eyes too.
Referred to the famous New York restaurant, few people will miss Nobu . Nobu is a  of creative Japanese cuisine. This restaurant was ranked the top fifth restaurant in New York City by Zagat survey in 2003.
Nobu generally asks for at least four weeks in advance for researvation. if you are a spontenous foodie or have no time, Nobu Next Door is a good choice to have a similar Nobu experience. Nobu Next Door, obviously means next door of Nubo, the restaurant is designed to satisfies those spontaneous diners who need the Nobu fix, but didn’t plan ahead, by offering first come, first serve table seating between the hours of 7:00pm and 9:00pm. the price is said to be cheaper with a causal elegant atmosphere.
Nobu Next Door also offers Saturday and Sunday brunch.

Top Japanese restaurants in New York City (part 1)

In New York City, you can find variety of Japanese Cuisine, Ramen house, bento lunch, Yakitoui spot and sushi, you name it! you can find it in New York. Today, I am introducing Hastuhana restaurant, which holding a reputation as one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city, it definitely set the bar very high for its competitors.
This restaurant is staffed almost exclusively by native Japanese; their strong accents and mannerisms clearly convey they are expatriates. This alone indicated to me this was a quality establishment.

If you are visiting the restaurant with budget, you should try the signature "Box of Dream", it is a   nine miniature bowls arranged in a lacquer box. each bowl contains one kind of raw or cooked fish fillets and sushi rice.  The fish are so fresh and just melt in your mouth. Toro and Uni is a must try items if you like them.

Seneca Lake Winery: Hidden Gem of New York State

When we talk about wines in the United States, most people would first think of Napa,CA. But New Yorkers don't need to fly over to west coast to get a sip of high quality wine, a couple hours of drive could take you the award-wining wineries in Seneca Lake.

The Seneca Lake Wine Trail is  one of the largest wineries area in the eastern USA. With over 30 member wineries the Trail boasts a diverse variety of wines from classic vinifera to hardy native grapes or  premium blend. In my point of view, Seneca Wineries have high quality Riesling wine and bubbly wines. On top of the wine itself, the view of finger lake from most of the winery are simply breathtaking.

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

3.1 Phillip Lim for target is finally open to public, people went crazy for the cheaper version of this high-end designer label, especially for the hand bags. They woke up early and wait in line for clothing and bags, but it is until the bags roll out that people snatched up. creating scramble of shouting and flailing arms until the rack clean.

From Yogurt to Culture

I love Frozen Yogurt, and I am always looking for boutique yogurt places other than franchise brands.
I found Culture: An American Yogurt Company by accident, they manufacture fresh and frozen yogurt in house, using fresh local milk and other more.  There are a lot of favors to choose from: Mango Ginger, Coconet raspberry, Pina Colada and Strawberry Balsamic etc.  with a wide ranges of topping choices.
It is small, friendly and good taste!

We were invited to have a kitchen tour, the chief was making us an 1920 style cocktail using nitrogen. the advantage of using nitrogen for cocktail is that nitrogen is able to froze the liquor to the desired temperature without diluting the  drink.
