In new york, it is not rare to see people lining up just for a little cupcake. Cup cake is a taste of home for many New Yorkers. Magnolia bakery is one of the original cupcake places, since the cupcake craze started.

Sex and the City has  mentioned Magnolia Bakery, Carrie was telling Miranda that she had a new love affair while eating Magnolia's pink frosting cupcake. From then on, the West Village Magnolia Bakery is always filled with Sex and the City fans.

Magnolia opened in 1996, now it has six branches, including one in New York South Street Seaport. The bakery sells ice cream sandwiches in the summer. Cupcakes, of course, is not to be missed, colorful frosting lure people's appetites.
